Bureaux Restoration
The first piece of furniture had been stored under a leak for several years and had lost it's leg, warped severely and grown mould! Although not a particularly valuable piece it had great sentimental value to the customer.
We treated the mould and gently dried the piece before attempting any repairs. The leg was re-attached and any loose joints where re-glued. The drawer fronts had all warped so the drawer joints where adjusted to level the fronts and the drawers were all smoothed to fit nicely. The piece was finished with a traditional French polish and wax.
